- Progesterone Cream
Articles on this site reflect the
experiences of my wife, Angie. The info below is the result
of my interviewing her, and then posting the interview with the
corresponding resources and links on this site. We hope this helps
you conduct your own research on your unique path to wellness.
Please enjoy! Daniel.
Daniel: "Tell me about your
experiences with progesterone. Why did you choose to use it?"
Angie: "I have been using progesterone cream for
years. What a God-send! I used to have horrible PMS for nearly
2 weeks a month. Just ask my husband. Now, as long as I'm
faithful with using my cream, I don't experience it at all, or at worst, I
get a little moody the day before. Nothing like the intensity and
length I use to deal with.
In addition, I read that it also affords
some protection against some types of cancer so I thought this was
important. (See the article on
breast cancer & natural progesterone.) This sounded like a good deal to me and it's been a
high impact choice.
Dr. John Lee wrote several books that have
made a huge impact on women. I read his book called "What Your
Doctor May Not Have Told You About Pre-Menopause". I had never heard
of this condition, and thought I was too young to need hormones, but Dr.
Lee indicated that many women need progesterone many years before they
even come near Peri-menopause. I was really surprised and amazed at
the changes the progesterone brought. It is said to counteract
estrogen dominance as well.
(See the article for progesterone and estrogen dominance. )
He also prescribes progesterone for
fibroids (breast &uterine, etc) and a range of other problems.
I really found this book very enlightening
and helpful."

Angie: "When you buy progesterone, make
sure that you get natural USP progesterone. Unless it says "USP"
I have heard over and over from various sources that it won't have the impact you need.
By the way, I searched to find a good product that has a significant and
disclosed amount of the USP progesterone, without the kinds of additives
that cause allergies. Click here for
the natural progesterone products I found that meet this description which
you can buy without a prescription)
I have mine compounded at the local
pharmacy, particularly because I don't want any fragrances or additives.
However, there are some good products that you can get without a
prescription."
( I will include a compounding pharmacy on
the resources page)
