- Angie: "I'm going to share what I would consider
to be the most powerful, healing and life changing thing I have ever
found. First some background info to give you a better idea of
where I'm coming from.
-
- Just about everyone accepts that there
is a link between health and the state of your mind, heart and spirit.
There can be no doubt that various psychological states create chemical
reactions in the body.
-
- It's also widely accepted that it is
possible to be in an emotional state on a daily basis, and this can
impact your health. For example, even if they are not aware of it, a
person can live life with a constant state of low level anxiety.
This can cause a process in the body called "flight or fight",
which can cause all kinds of serious health problems over the long term.
-
- So, in order to create an internal
chemical environment in our bodies that allows for and supports health,
we ideally need to change the way we perceive and deal with life.
I was taught relaxation techniques and practiced them for almost 20
years, but I discovered that this was not nearly enough. How can
you live 23 hours a day with a heart and mind behaving in ways
that cause destructive chemicals to flow, and expect to combat that with
a couple of 20 minute relaxation sessions a day?
-
- Let me tell you a little about myself.
My health started failing at around 16 years old, after a bad root
canal. I was also living in a very dysfunctional household that
was full of stress. I decided to try and achieve health through
working on body, mind and spirit.
-
- In pursuit of health and peace, I
learned and eventually taught a wide variety of new age techniques.
These included meditation, visualization, self-hypnosis, positive
thinking, breathing techniques, etc. I taught these things for
over 10 years, and though I experienced very little in the way of
results from these things, I kept at it because I didn't have a better
answer.
-
- I also tried everything and anything
that seemed like it could help such as Neurolinguistic Programming,
being hypnotized, yoga, various types of psychological counseling,
Reiki, crystal healing, and a huge variety of other techniques.
-
- ( In addition, I studied and applied
physical alternative health techniques, and applied them as I explain in
the "about Me" page on this site, which
helped me cope with the physical problems.)
-
- Ultimately, everything I tried that was
spiritually or emotionally oriented failed to make any significant
difference. I also saw that same lack of success in everyone else
I knew applying these techniques, and I knew and spoke with a lot of
people in the movement during that time. This might anger some out
there, but I am just telling you what I saw and experienced. I found
very little power for lasting healing - physically or emotionally in
these new age techniques and philosophies.
-
- It was not for my lack of trying or
ability. I am college educated, having graduated with honors.
I'm a "go all the way" person. When I try something I give it my
all. I was actually ordained as a minister. I was often a
featured guest on radio. I had clients from out of state who would
call in for personal coaching sessions. I taught in a wide variety
of settings, including college. I interviewed and wrote articles
for a new age magazine, and interviewed people such as Deepak Chopra and
Tony Robbins.
-
- Several times I even tracked down
authors of new age books that I found profound and called them to "pick
their brains". They were often nothing like I would have thought
from their books. It was surprising to see that they were generally
without answers and struggling just like me.
- Born Jewish, and brought up in a very
religious home, my family really had no problem with my new age beliefs.
Many of them coincided with some of the teachings of the Kabbalah, a
book which is supposed to be about Jewish Mysticism.
-
- There was only one door closed to me by
my family. I knew that if I ever went that way, I would be "disowned" by
my family and maybe even divorced by my husband. That was the way
of Jesus, or Yeshua as He was actually called when He walked the earth.
-
- I grew up knowing that this was
forbidden. You have to understand that the Jewish people,
including my family going back generations, have been persecuted by
people claiming to do it in the name of Jesus. Of course, if you
have ever read the new testament portion of the bible you would see
there was nothing about it any of it that Jesus would have approved of.
In fact, all that stuff was in direct opposition to His teachings.
-
- I would have never, ever thought that
there could have been anything to this "Jesus thing". I was
completely unwilling to even look at this possibility. To tell you
the truth, knowing what I knew from my Jewish upbringing and study,
nothing I ever heard about Christianity made sense. It actually seemed
ridiculous to me.
- To make a long story short, I became so
physically ill, and my life was falling apart so badly that I was
praying "God if you are real, either kill me or heal me, because I can't
deal with this any more". Shortly after that, a friend of mine
began telling me she found Jesus, and was now "born again", I
thought this was nuts, but I loved her and as long as she was not
pressuring me about it I could live with it.
-
- But then she started telling me about
answered prayers she was having. She also brought me tapes of
people who were experiencing miraculous healings. I was getting curious.
I'd tried everything other religion and nothing worked. Either
there was actually real power I was seeing, or there was tremendous mind
over body stuff going on here.
-
- I began researching. There was no
way I was going to get involved with this if it wasn't real. The
penalty was going to be to harsh. I started calling people around
the country that had had "miracles" of healing. Over and over I
heard the impossible happened.
-
- - A local man I met who was sent home to
die with a brain tumor had it instantaneously disappear.
- - Several people with severe
environmental illness completely free of it. One woman I knew went
from dying to gleaming with health.
- - A young woman with cancer that had
spread throughout her body and was untreatable was healed.

This list goes on and on and on. I
know firsthand more people than I can count who were miraculously
healed. I know a woman who had an ovary removed and now it's
there. (I consider something a miracle when there is no physical
reason for something to happen, the person has been prayed for and the
results defy what medicine and logic knows to be true.)
I'd never seen anything like this
anywhere. Now I had to know if this made sense scripturally.
Could the bible be real, and if so, could Jesus actually be the Jewish
Messiah? I began speaking with scholars around the country.
I spoke with Christians and ultra Orthodox Jewish Rabbis. I read
books on the subject, and read the bible for myself.
To make a long story short again, I
couldn't deny the evidence. The bible has too much scientific &
archeological evidence behind it to discount it. The large number
of fulfilled prophecies throughout the bible make it impossible to
discount. The fact that no one through time has been able to
discredit the bible, though many have tried, is compelling evidence.
There is so much more evidence that supports the reality that the bible
is from God.
I also found that Jesus, or Yeshua, is
the Jewish Messiah. The bible explicitly describes Him in great
detail, and the Rabbis knew of the scriptures. They understood
that there were two very different and actually opposite descriptions of
the Messiah in the bible. One is called the suffering servant
messiah, and the other is referred to as the conquering king messiah.
Their arguments against Jesus being the one who fulfilled the suffering
servant scriptures were so illogical, I couldn't believe it. The old
testament (tenach) actually gave the date of when the messiah would
come, and it was when Jesus was here. There was so much prophecy
that describes Jesus to the letter, I could not believe it. Why
had no one ever told me? Yet the in old testament God stated that
He would blind the eyes of all but a remnant of the Jewish people.
This is being fulfilled. God has His reasons.
I gave my life to Christ over 11 years
ago, and my life has never been the same. Did I pay a price?
My brother would not speak to me for years after that, and he wouldn't
let me near his children. My parents didn't speak to me for many
years. They actually tried to have me kidnapped for deprogramming.
My husband threatened to leave me, but after a while he saw the power of
God in my life and now He is a solid believer himself. Yes, I paid
a price, but now I am restored with my family, and now by the grace of
God these relationships are so much better than before all this.
They accept me as a believer in Yeshua, a Christian, a completed Jew.
Was it worth it? I could never,
ever express to you the way God has changed me, my life circumstances
and those around me. The last 11 years have been the best of my
life. It keeps getting better with God's love and His amazing
power in my life now. He fills me with peace, guides me, teaches
me, even corrects in love me when I need it. Every last change I
made in my life to comply with God's will and His teachings in the bible
have brought positive and amazing results.
I've had some deeply powerful and
amazing spiritual experiences too. No religion, technique or
philosophy I have ever seen or experienced comes even remotely close to
what I have experienced in my relationship with God.
Has all this affected my health?
Absolutely. The more peaceful you can get, and the more you can
come into harmony with God, other people and yourself, the better your
body can function. I have also experienced what I would call
miracles or God's intervention. Personally I have come to the conclusion that
for any real and lasting change to take effect, we need the help of God
the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
In the past, if anyone had made the
statements I'm about to make, I would have thought it ridiculous.
Now I see that there is such a thing as truth. There is right and
wrong. There is an actual reality, and the "make your own reality
thing just doesn't make sense or produce good results. God is real,
Jesus is Messiah. There is the power of God, and the power of
God's love. There is power in aligning yourself with the wisdom
and truth of God. Without those things we are spinning our wheels,
going nowhere.
My advice to everyone: Do your own
search. Read, talk to others who have given their lives to Christ,
pray and ask God to show you the truth. Let God begin His healing in
your life. Find a bible believing, full gospel church where they believe
in healing and in good and thorough teaching. In my opinion, any
church that doesn't believe in the gifts of the Spirit, in healing and
the baptism of the Holy Spirit will limit the power of God in your life.
If you were turned off from Christ
because of people and how they behaved, remember this. We are all
just people, and becoming Christ-like is a life long process. Some
of us start out with more problems than others. Don't let that
turn you away from God, and don't blame Him for what people do.
Our bad behavior is not His doing. We do have some free will in
this world.
If you don't yet believe but you would
like to do your own research, click on the link at the top of the page
or here to find some resources
that may help you make your own decision.
If you already understand who Jesus is
and what He did for you, and are ready to receive Christ, please pray.
Before you pray, remember that Yeshua - Jesus came as a "sacrificial"
lamb to pay the penalty for our sins. Yes God is love.
Yet He is also righteous and just. Justice demands punishment.
Jesus took the punishment for our sins instead of us. Here is a sample
prayer you can say:
Father God, I believe that Jesus is the
Messiah, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from
the dead and is now seated at your right hand Father. Lord, please
forgive me for my sins. I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. Please
come into my life and help me to live the life you would have me live.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Bless me and help me draw close to
you. I pray these things in Jesus name. Amen.
Now go find a great church so they can teach
you to grow and mature. The bible commands us to come together for
learning, encouraging, prayer and relationship, and not to separate
yourself from other believers. Also, you need to get baptized in
water. (Biblical baptism is an act of free will that the believer
does after having made a decision to give their lives to Christ.
Baby baptism does not fulfill this command.)
May God bless you and give you His
fullness!"
